Nikola Dicke explores darkness in many different ways in her artistic work: She draws with sharp tools on glass covered in black soot. She backlights these drawings or projects them into rooms and onto facades.
In her exhibition, Nikola Dicke explores the contrast between light and darkness. In light drawings and light installations, she explores the physical and philosophical connections between these two elements. Using light, drawing, video, mirrors and water, she conquers and occupies what she finds and redesigns it, transforming the familiar into the enigmatic and mysterious.
